Dozer
Dozer is a loving, handsome, two-and-a-half-year-old chocolate Lab with a very sad story. He was surrendered to the shelter because his owner did not have time for him. Dozer arrived very skinny with a giant thirst, drinking bowl after bowl of water.
Initial X-rays showed an enlarged kidney, and a biopsy was recommended. Dozer made two trips to a veterinary specialist in Portland, and was diagnosed with liver shunt disease.
In May of 2008 Dozer received his surgery to correct his condition, and went to his forever happy home. He has become a great fundraiser for the ARL North, as he goes to work with his owners everyday and tells his story - how ARL North saved his life and led him to his wonderful forever home. Dozer asks that you support the Dozer/Dancer Medical fund to help other animals in the care of ARL North with special medical needs. All money donated to the fund will go to help these special dogs and cats.
